YOUTH AND FAMILY
Providing opportunities to grow in Christian faith, witness, and fellowship to meet the needs of youth, families, the congregation and the community
Our ministry goal is to provide youth the building blocks necessary to grow and deepen their faith and commitment to Jesus Christ. Our mission statement is: “Through Christ, we are here to love God and ALL people, share His word, serve others and grow together in faith.”
All 6th-12th graders are welcome to attend our events and we encourage everyone to bring a friend. Our youth group has a strong emphasis and passion to serve our local community as well as our global community. Some of our past service projects include Annapolis Immigration Justice Network Holiday Coat Market and Dinner, preparing and serving Lighthouse Shelter dinners, our week-long Service Camp in the summer and Rise Against Hunger Meal Packing Events.

Upcoming Youth & Family Activities
Annapolis Immigration Justice Network Event a Great Success
St. Martin’s Youth and Families hosted our 2nd Dinner and Coat/Toy Market for our friends with Annapolis Immigration Justice Network (AIJN) on Friday, November 18th.
AIJN's mission is "walking alongside our immigrant neighbors as they navigate the challenges of their new lives in our community.” They connect immigrants to legal resources and establish relationships with business, faith, educational and civic communities. They assist families, individuals and unaccompanied minors.
The congregation was asked to help with this event by donating NEW household goods to be passed out to each AIJN family attending.
God's message of love and welcoming was spread to so many. Most of those attending the event were recently arrived in the States.
Natalie Quizhphi, an Olympic 1500-meter sprinter, was in attendance. Herself an immigrant and now working with AIJN, she was so thankful for the evening and shared that many in attendance felt welcomed in this country for the first time and were extremely grateful for the coats that were provided.
A group of older teen boys were excited not only to receive coat, but to have a laundry basket and new towels. They said they were off to do laundry!
AIJN youngest client, a 2-year-old boy, was beaming when he picked out his coat and saw he was getting toys for Christmas.
AIJN invited several of their board members to attend and they were absolutely blown away by our welcoming hospitality.
A huge thank you to all who contributed to making this an unforgettable evening and to all the youth and families who shopped, wrapped, cooked, served and smiled!
OutJoy - Faithful Flourishing
A group of St. Martin's members attended the Anne Arundel Affirming Alliance event that featured a liturgy and a light dinner, music and storytelling from LGBTQ+ community members at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church on Tuesday, October 11th.
Pictures from St. Martin's 2nd Annual Summer Youth Service Camp
Our 2nd Annual Summer Youth Service Camp was a huge success! The theme for the week was Fruit of the Spirit and making a difference in our community. Our youth, along with several adult volunteers, transformed our outdoor chapel in just one week. They also packed lunches for the Lighthouse Shelter and painted a grace sign for our church property.
