ICONS in Transformation: A Free, Contemporary Christian Art Exhibit at St. Martin’s, April 23-June 11, 2023

ICONS in Transformation is an internationally acclaimed traveling art exhibit featuring contemporary works by expressionist Ludmila Pawlowska, depicting light, love, spirituality, and time through her unique medium of three-dimensional paintings. The exhibit has traveled throughout cathedrals, churches, and museums in Europe, and for the last decade has toured in the United States. More than 2 million people worldwide have experienced this transformative art exhibit.

Now the ICONS in Transformation art exhibit is debuting in Annapolis for the first time at St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church from April 23 through June 11, 2023, an engaging exhibit that is free and open to the public. All of the artist's proceeds will benefit Ukrainian Refugees. Reserve your free exhibit tour today.

According to the artist, each piece is a journey in love, spirituality, and time. “I work somewhere between painting and sculpture, which I call three-dimensional paintings and where I expand the conventional boundaries of the media,” Ludmila reflects. “Art for me is the principal connecting link between the concrete world—life—and the illusory one.”

While Ludmila has been an artist her whole life, her artwork took on a new meaning when her mother died suddenly. Recognizing the short step between life and death, she used her paintings to work through her sorrow and her subjects took on an ethereal aspect in the form of contemporary icons.

This is an event you won’t want to miss. Experience this renowned exhibit April 23 through June 11, 2023, at St. Martin’s. Reserve your free exhibit tour today. To learn more about Ludmila Pawlowska, visit her website.
